We decided to decorate the walls of our living room with black and white photos, some are Ansel Adams, and some are simply photos we really like. While we loved the simplicity of the black and white décor, we realized that some colorful home accessories were just the thing to balance out the room. And few things are as elegant and timeless are vases. That’s why colored glass vases seemed to be a perfect accessory. Personally, I take a bit of Feng Shui into account when decorating, and a small accessory like this can help with that. Feng Shui can get a bit complicated, but one of its main tenets is that natural colors like earthy browns, bright greens, and shades of blue are a great way to add balance to a room. My natural color of choice is green, and I find that placing flowers in a green vase creates a lovely, natural look. Of course, every person is different, and every room is different.
