Getting commemorative Christmas ornaments each year can result in a very special family tree

Are you looking for a way to make your tree truly special? Consider getting one or two special ornaments each year, and let the whole family help in picking them out.

This is what we do at our house. Each year, my husband, daughter, and I get one or two beautiful additions to our tree, making it fuller and more meaningful with each passing year.

You can get a combination of ornaments, to make it even more special. Some of our ornaments are glass ornaments that have been hand-painted from the inside – these are our rare and unique ornaments that make the tree sparkle and shine. Then some of our ornaments are gifts that people have given us over the years, these remind us of our family and friends and past holidays that we’ve shared. Some of our ornaments represent special events, like the “baby’s 1st Christmas” and “1st Christmas together ornaments.” Obviously, these are very special, but maybe not as special as the homemade ornaments that we make together every now and then.

Is our tree starting to sound like a hodge-podge about now? Well, I know people who have trees on which every ornament matches, and while theirs are lovely, I wouldn’t trade for the world.
